    Human Rights Study Project

    Description
The Human Rights Study Project (HRSP) is a student-run organization dedicated to promoting awareness of legal issues surrounding the development and protection of human rights in foreign countries. It offers opportunities for law students to engage in original academic research and provides the UVA Law community with presentations on contemporary developments in international human rights. This year, East Africa has been selected as the HRSP study location. During the fall, each member will develop an individual research project, while the team as a whole plans the logistics of a three-week trip to Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. The study trip, which allows us to work directly with organizations and individuals in these countries, will take place in January of 2008.
